Chelsea Cereghin

Weaner, Yoder, Hill, & Weber, Ltd. welcomes new associate attorney Chelsea Cereghin to their legal team. Chelsea received her law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2017 and has completed extensive training in mediation, domestic abuse, guardianships, and guardian ad litem work.

Chelsea was born and raised in Defiance, Ohio. Chelsea was an active member in 4-H showing at the Defiance County Fair. She graduated from Tinora High School in 2011 and later graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Findlay in 2014.

Chelsea has over four years of legal experience serving as a deputy clerk at the Defiance County Probate and Juvenile Court. She is practicing in the areas of Civil Litigation, Real Estate, Wills and Family Law. Family Law practice includes divorce, dissolution, child custody, grandparent rights, delinquency, Job & Family Services involvement, and adoptions.

In her free time, Chelsea is an active member at St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance and enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.

Ian Weber completes 2017 OSBA Leadership Academy

Ian Weber graduated from 2017 Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) Leadership Academy, a five month program in Columbus, Ohio that covered a variety of topics including:

  • How to Be Effective with Clients, In-House Counsel, Partners and Judges;
  • Addressing Clients’ Needs: The Partner’s View Point, The Associate’s Viewpoint; and
  • Branding Yourself: How Lawyers Can Use Social Media and Traditional Marketing.

Weber explored future opportunities for leadership in the Association, profession and community. The academy purpose was also to nurture effective leadership with respect to ethical, professional and community service issues, and to raise the level of awareness among lawyers regarding the broad range of issues facing the legal profession. Weber was also able to build relationships among legal leaders and experience levels across the state.
